Aims and Objectives of Calderdale Against the War

The aim of the organisation is to:

Stop the campaign currently being waged by the US and allies under cover of its alleged "War Against Terrorism".

To this end:

1. Supporters of this organisation, whether groups or individuals are free to develop their own analyses and organise their own actions in their own name independently of the coalition.
   
2. A co-ordinating committee will have the ability to react to the changing situation and respond to issues directed by open meetings.
   
3. We are committed to opposing any racist backlash generated by war.
   
4. We will fight to stop the erosion of civil rights.
